Fauré/Debussy Cage Match!!!!

This is a free virtual event on February 25 at 7pm ET

Early Bird Registration for Friends of CSI Opens February 1

Due to their intimate study group nature, Song Connect events are capped at twelve participants. Want to guarantee your spot? Join the Friends of CSI for early bird registration to all Song Connect events.

  • You know them, you love them, and now you choose between them! Our first-ever Song Connect event explores two Paul Verlaine poems - Mandoline and Clair de lune - and their beloved settings by both Gabriel Fauré and Claude Debussy. What makes them similar? What sets them apart from each other? And whose songs will emerge victorious? Come with your unwavering opinion or get ready to be swayed through conversation and listening during the event. Either way, it’s bound to be a great time!

  • This is a virtual event from 7-8pm Eastern Time; anyone with an internet connection may register.

Think of Song Connect as a small book club or study event. With intriguing topics for each session led by an expert guest leader, we will explore, converse, and listen to deepen our understanding of song, all while socializing and having a wonderful time together.

Free registration is required so we can send you helpful materials to enhance your experience, such as song scores, links for listening, and more. But don’t worry - if you can’t explore these resources before the event, it won’t hamper your ability to engage and enjoy!

  • In short, anyone! Whether you’re brand new to the world of song and want to learn more, or a seasoned fan of the genre interested in bonding with like-minded song enthusiasts, Song Connect events are for everyone.
