“Shimmering soprano” Alexandra Henderson is a versatile and creative performing artist (San Diego Story). As seen in the New York Times, Alexandra was featured in the world premiere of Robert Paterson’s operatic work New York Stories. An avid performer of art song repertoire, Alexandra is a featured recitalist with the Federation of the Art Song alongside her collaborator Sepehr Davallou. In the operatic canon, Alexandra has recently been seen in leading roles such as Adina in Donizetti’s Elixir of Love with Opera Neo, The Governess in Britten’s Turn of the Screw with Opera Roanoke and Marie in Donizetti’s Daughter of the Regiment during the outreach series with the Boston Lyric Opera.

In the 2026 season, Alexandra looks forward to her residency as a Soprano Fellow with the Tanglewood Music Festival. Alexandra is honored to have won the Boston District of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition as well as the first prize in the John Alexander National Vocal Competition. Alexandra holds a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory where she received the Douglas Smith Scholarship for Voice. In addition to her vibrant performance career, Alexandra has a thriving teaching studio where she mentors students of all ages and abilities.
