A native of South Carolina, violinist Scott Moore is active as a performer and teacher in the Cincinnati-Dayton area. After earning degrees in violin performance from Bob Jones University (2007) and Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music (2009), he joined the ranks of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in 2013, where he enjoys the variety of playing for ballet and operatic productions along with the symphonic repertoire as part of the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance.
Away from the concert hall, much of Scott's time is spent in music eduction. As a DPO SPARK musician, he develops relationships with Dayton public school teachers and their students, using classical music to teach and reinforce concepts being learned in their classrooms. In addition, he maintains a full teaching studio with his wife Jessica, and accomplished pianist and violinist.
Scott serves as Deacon in charge of worship music at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and enjoys traveling, cooking, and sharing meals with friends. He and his wife have two sons, Jacob and Ethan.
