Kimberly Trout has over a decade of orchestral playing experience with professional orchestras such as the Honolulu Symphony, Maui Symphony, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra and the Dayton Philharmonic. Currently she is the Visiting Assistant Professor of Viola at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

She competed in basketball at the collegiate level while she completed her Bachelor of Science in Music Education at Roberts Wesleyan College. Trout earned her Master’s Degree as a Civic Orchestra Fellowship recipient at Northwestern University where she studied with Li Kuo Chang and Roland Vamos.  Her DMA is from CCM, where her passion for teaching and pedagogy lead to a cognate in Music Education.

Trout is an avid fitness participant, and her love of exploring the relationships between pedagogy, music performance and sports science facilitates collaboration between different disciplines.
