CSI’s flagship Americana series turns to the music of living composers, featuring the winning cycle of the 2019 NATS Art Song Composition Award by Philip Lasser, as well as a bicentennial tribute to the acclaimed poet Walt Whitman. In a major juxtaposition, CSI artists also tackle John Corigliano’s iconic settings of Bob Dylan poetry for amplified soprano and piano. With a wide array of subject matter and compositional diversity, this program is sure to include something for everyone.
