Cellist Amy Gillingham is an artist dedicated to leveraging her roles as performer, educator, and arts advocate-leader to advance, empower, and inspire others through music. She has performed across the nation and abroad, is a frequent studio-recording artist, and has received awards for her teaching and service from organizations including the Kentucky Music Educators Association and American String Teachers Association. Gillingham is Assistant Professor of Music in Strings/Orchestra at Northern Kentucky University where she is also director of the nationally recognized NKU String Project. She additionally serves as Executive Director of the National String Project Consortium, an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Gillingham holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and North Carolina School of the Arts.
