Ahyoung Jung, an exquisite performer dedicated to the art of collaboration, has extensive performance and coaching experience as a collaborative pianist in South Korea, including the Mozart Opera Gala Concert (2014), soprano Nasook Han’s recital of Strauss Lieder (2012), the Liederabend for Young Artists (2011), recital of Korean art songs by Inyoung La (2010), La traviata performed with piano (2009), Fidelio (2009), and Die Fledermaus (2008).  Before arriving in Cincinnati, she worked in South Korea for seven years as a professional collaborative pianist after graduating from Yonsei University’s College of Music (COM) with a Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano.  Initially, she worked as a rehearsal pianist for opera theaters and coached choirs while studying a variety of vocal music.  Later, Ahyoung accompanied professional performers’ recitals and focused on the study of art song.  She coached at COM for eight years in the voice studios of Professors Hyunjoo Chang and Kyunghye La.  An enthusiast and specialist of the Schumann Lieder, Ahyoung is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) on the Artman Straub Scholarship and the University Graduate Scholarship.   She studies with Professor Kenneth R. Griffiths.
