Hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico, soprano Lucianna ‘Luci’ Astorga is currently pursuing her Masters degree in vocal performance at Temple University in Philadelphia. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Sam Houston State University. Luci is an active performer, singing in cities including Austin, San Antonio, and Albuquerque. Notable performances include Maguelonne in Cendrillon by Pauline Viardot, the titular role in La Malinche: Traitor | Savior (world premiere) and Blanca in Ribas-Dominicci (world premiere) by Nathan Felix, and scenes from Sweeney Todd, Dido and Aneas, The Magic Flute, and Le Nozze di Figaro.

Luci is the first place winner of the 2023 SHSU Art Song Competition and has been selected for masterclasses with pianist and composer Timothy Hoekman, baritone Evan Jones, soprano Amy Johnson, and world-renowned mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke.

Luci has enjoyed working with various organizations in different capacities. She held both the Treasurer and President position for SNATS at Sam Houston State University. Luci also served as the social media manager for the SHSU Voice Area and SNATS. She is currently the Digital Media Coordinator for Cincinnati Song Initiative.
